Message This is the story that my friend is going through right now with these fucks so please read and do not take your wheels there.

As some of you may know, I recently had my Z06 wheels sent in to Wheels America (Houston) to have black powdercoat applied with a polished lip. I was told by their representative that I would have the wheels back within 4 days. The wheels arrived there on the 2nd of January and were dropped back off to my mechanic on the 6th in POOR condition. There was patches of bare metal showing through the powdercoat, as well as heavy overspray patterns all over the wheel. My mechanic, being a DuPont representative and Engineer immediately demanded the wheels be sent back and redone. The next day I called up to Wheels America and they admitted to the poor workmanship done on my wheels and said that I would have the wheels back within the week, this was the 7th. It is now the 19th and after repeated phone calls to Wheels America all they have to say is that my wheels are currently being worked on and that they were having trouble with them and that it would be not until the end of the week (around the 23rd). What was supposed to have been a 4-5 day job has now resulted in me being out of my car for nearly a month. Infact, due to this, I have decided to take back custody of the wheels (at no cost) and send them to a seperate wheel company in Conroe at my expense to have my wheels fixed which will take them at least another week and a half to do right. I am now not only out of a brand new car, but worried about possible structural damage and or weakening by the continued machining/baking they have put my wheels through the past weeks. I spoke with the owner and asked that he keep the current wheels and supply me with a set of new, factory Z06 wheels in return for my loss of use, and possible damage they have done to my wheels. My claim was immediately denied by the owner and now my wheels are just being dropped off at my mechanics shop. I am at a loss here, I have no idea what to do, but the first thing I could think of was to hopefully save some others from making the same horrible decision I made when I sent my wheels to Wheels America (Houston) also... When I asked for his mailing address, the owner asked "why, you gonna sue me?" then said "hell, if your going to sue me, im just going to keep the wheels"

Update

well, wheels were looked at today and needless to say, they are ruined. Wheels America damaged them to the point that they are now not only out of round (by caliper and visual inspection) but also the lip has been machined over 3/4 of the original thickness, leaving the wall very weak and the possibility of the wheel breaking Called them up again today and they still refuse to replace the wheels. why lord does this shit have to happen to me
